  • One soft foam ball
  • One hoop or flat target marker

The traditional core

One team knocks down seven stacked stones and tries to rebuild them while the other team attempts to eliminate players with a ball.

How to play this edition

  1. Stack seven foam blocks. Team A gets up to three gentle underarm attempts to topple them; swap teams if all miss.
  2. After a hit, Team A rebuilds. In a separate, clear lane, Team B takes turns rolling the ball into a hoop.
  3. The first completed task earns one point. Swap roles and play four rounds.

Play safely

Use foam blocks instead of stones and a soft ball instead of a hard ball. Never throw at anyone, including the head. Keep rebuilding and rolling lanes separate.

Adapt the activity

Shorten the rolling distance; allow a seated roll or ramp. Place the stack on a stable reachable table if needed, away from the ball lane.
