01By boatIsland nature
Pulau Ubin: village and wetlands
Spend a slower island day among Ubin’s village lanes and Chek Jawa’s wetland habitats.
1.5–2.5h including boat waitIndicative time each way
Tampines MRT → bus 29 to Changi Village → Changi Point Ferry Terminal → on-demand bumboat to Pulau Ubin; arrange a local van for Chek Jawa.
- Start around Ubin village and its heritage buildings.
- Choose a short Chek Jawa boardwalk visit.
- Return to the village for a rest before the boat.
Before you go
Bumboats depart on demand, so waits vary. Confirm the return with the operator, carry water and cash, and check NParks notices and weather before going.
Access & pace
Bumboat boarding involves a moving vessel and steps; check suitability with operators first. Island roads can be rough and steep, and Chek Jawa is several kilometres from the jetty.

Sentosa: coastal history and beaches
Combine Fort Siloso’s coastal-defence story with a relaxed beachside break on Sentosa.

MRT to HarbourFront → VivoCity → Sentosa Express to Beach Station; use island transport toward Siloso Point.
- Explore the Fort Siloso Skywalk if conditions suit.
- Choose a short visit to Fort Siloso’s exhibits.
- Finish with a seated break beside Siloso Beach.
Before you go
Check exhibit closing times separately from Skywalk access, allow for island transfers and use the current Sentosa return-transport guide.
Access & pace
The Skywalk has lift access, but confirm lift operation and the specific fort sections you want to enter. Heights, enclosed exhibits, heat and sandy surfaces may need a different pace.
